Travel & Trips
The Bozeman Senior Center has provided senior travelers with an extensive choice of local, national, and international trips for over 25 years. All of the Bozeman Senior Center trips are escorted by an experienced member of the Senior Center to provide a safe and secure atmosphere and greatest enjoyment by the traveler. Local Trips of 1 to 4 days duration have been to attractions such as: the Charles M Russell Museum and Giant Springs in Great Falls, the Accordion Festival in Phillipsburg, Jet-boating up Hells Canyon on the Snake River in Idaho, The Playmill Theater in West Yellowstone, Firehouse 5 Playhouse in Livingston, the Buffalo Bill Museum in Cody Wyoming, the Charlie Russell Chew Choo in Lewistown, Holiday Lights at the Coeur d' Alene Resort in Idaho, Entertainment in Jackpot Nevada and Vigilante Players in Virginia City.
In the last years, we have enjoyed one day trips to Tippet Rise in eastern Montana, a scenic motorcoach ride on the breathtaking Beartooth Highway, a two day trip to Ft. Benton, MT (where we stayed at the historic Grand Union Hotel and visited great museums), a trip to the Virgele Ferry and a tour of the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center in Great Falls. On another fun day trip, we went to Yellowstone Park where we had lunch at the Lake Lodge and a boat ride on Yellowstone Lake.
Longer National Trips have included: Branson Missouri, Autumn New England Back Roads, California Coast, Alaska, Florida, Deep South, Seattle, Texas Panhandle, Amish Pennsylvania and Southwestern US.
International travel includes: Croatia, Galapagos, Greece, India, Spain, Australia, Canadian Rockies, Copper Canyon Mexico, Ireland, New Zealand, England, Scotland, Austria, Scandinavian Countries, Panama Canal Cruise, Mexican Riviera Cruise, Africa and a Caribbean Cruise.
Current Trips (listed below) are arranged to a variety of interesting and beautiful locations. Cost of travel is determined for each trip based on bids from airlines and bus companies, hotels and motels, food service providers and professional travel agencies when appropriate. The cost of a particular trip is included in the travel itinerary for that trip. All itineraries are available at the Senior Center.
